Chicago Northwest Suburban Alumnae Chapter

Special Interest Groups

Special Interest Groups help members connect on a more personal level and tend to be rewarding and fulfilling. Form a group comprised of members sharing a common interest (Book Club, Mommy ‘n Me, Sister Mixers) with the intention of having this group create a bond with one another as well as the alumnae group. Interest Groups should have a chairman to be a liaison between the SIG and the alumnae chapter or association.

DG Lunch Bunch

The Lunch Bunch is open to anyone who would like to have an occasional "day out with the girls.” Everything is very informal - there is no a set schedule of dates. We like to try restaurants which may offer a different choice of food or are new to the area and are moderately priced. If you are interested in being contacted about our next "day out,” contact Pat Landes at Come join us for some good eating!

Delta Gamma Book Group

We meet four times a year in members' homes at 1:00 pm for dessert. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 6th at the home of Marge Dahlgren. We will be discussing Bank of Fear by David Ignatius. We have also decided to read The Greater Journey: Americans in Paris 1830 - 1900 by David McCullough. Since this is a very long book, we will discuss it at our February meeting to allow everyone plenty of time to read it. Everyone is welcome - the more people, the livelier the discussion. Please call Pat Albu at 847-506-9755 if you have any questions, and welcome to the DG Book Club!

Bridge, Anyone?

Our long-standing bridge group meets at noon on the third Monday of the month in a member's home, September through May. The hostess serves dessert and then we play bridge. New members and subs are welcome. Contact Pat Landes at 847-808-7353.
